2005 Vail Valley Partnership Non-Profit of the Year

The Vail Valley Charitable Fund (VVCF) helps people who live and work in Eagle County who have overwhelming financial needs due to medical crisis. To date, the organization has assisted six hundred individuals and families in Eagle County, and has raised and dispersed more than $5 million dollars. Click here to learn how to contribute to the fund.

The Vail Valley Charitable Fund has two main functions:

  • On a monthly basis the Board of Directors reviews and awards direct aid grants to individuals that apply.  To apply for a grant, click here.
  • When a person's financial need is greater than a direct aid grant can address, VVCF can assist with a community fundraiser for their benefit.  If you are interested in organizing a fundraising event for someone in crisis, contact us by phone at 845-6339 or email at vvcf@vail.net.

Upcoming Fundraising Events:

Join us on Sunday, April 20th at the Gore Range Brewery from 4-7 as we help Darren Leger.  Darren is a long-time local who was severely injured in a rollover car accident last December.  Funds raised on the 20th will help defray his rehabilitation costs and living expenses while he recovers from his accident.  Entry fee is $20, and includes free food, drink specials, and a chance to win several door prizes.

On Wednesday, April 23rd, four-time grammy nominated pianist Peter Kater will perform in a benefit concert for Mylissa Eckdahl at the Vilar Peforming Arts Center.  Mylissa has been a quadriplegic since a car accident in 2001.  She is raising two teenage daughters in Eagle and is raising funds to offset her medical and living expenses.  Tickets for the concert are $50 and can be purchased through the Vilar web site (www.vilarpac.org).  Doors open at 6:30 for a cocktail reception and silent auction, followed by the concert at 7:30.
